Due to some stroker bodgeying up the upstairs bathtub drain, which was leaking without anyone knowing it, I was forced to replace all the plumbing.
Rather than messing around with it, I ripped out all the 40mm pipework and replaced it with 50mm PVC. I can now assure you that there are no leaks.
Here you can see the new concrete foundations, steel studded wall, all the replaced plumbing for upstairs and the taps for the laundry sink and basin.
As there was no room to properly fit a "P" trap under the upstairs bathtub, which caused the original leak,I simply moved it to the bottom of this wet wall.
All of the exisiting walls were out of square and out of plumb, so it took 1 weekend to get the new wall looking sqare & plumb.

The rubber hoses around the copper pipes are to stop "pipe chatter" and corrosion caused by copper touching a differant metal.
I had to chisel open the existing outdoor drain to fit the new 50mm PVC piping.
The pipe on the left is for the upstairs vanity and laundry basin, the right one carries the bathtub and floor drain from upstairs.
I made the concrete footings 150mm (6 inches) higher than the floor level to stop any water penetrating the downstairs.
